Years of Service at Jay’s: Since 2014
Manager since 2017
Departments worked: I started out in the frontend department working as a cashier and at the service desk. About a year later I moved to work in the camping department as a sales associate. From there, I became the manager of the frontend department. Many changes were being made in the store and I happened to accumulate managing for the gift department and eventually managing the pet supplies as well in 2019. Then in 2021, I let go managing the frontend department to become the buyer and the manager for both the gifts and pet supplies.
Interests: Small Farming, Gardening, Riding Horses, Fishing, Distance Running, Homemade Crafts and Skin Care.
Bio: I am a dedicated hard working farm girl and wife. I love to be outdoors living off the land and self-motivated to learn new things. It is such a satisfying feeling, to be able to grow my own fruits and vegetables as well as provide our family with pork, chicken, fish, beef, venison and goat milk all from our backyard. I love spending time with my animals and using my goat milk to make skin care products such as soaps and lotions. I have become intrigued with homesteading and inspired to living a more self-sustainable life.
What I love about Jay’s: When I applied for a position at Jay’s, I did not plan on staying as long as I have so far. Jay’s Sporting Goods is not only a place of business at which I go to work, but rather my second home where everyone feels like family. My employers are the kindest caring and compassionate people I have ever met. When life’s struggles arose, the employers and my employees were always there for support. Jay’s has proved to stay true to there values and faith in God and that means a lot to me.
